During 2nd-29th June, 2024, 20 lecturers from various Faculties and campuses joined English for communication at School of Languages, Literacies & Translation, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). The purpose of the program: -To develop proficiency and fluency in the English language -To provide opportunities – within/outside the classroom and in conducive settings – for the improvement of the four language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking -To foster personal growth in a supportive environment, where students are constantly immersed in the English language and are encouraged to communicate effectively in English -To expose participants to Malaysian university life. During the program, lecturers have been improving their four language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. The activies from the program will also be the guide line for all participants to use English material for teaching in class for the up coming semester. On the 28th June, Dr Lamun Kayurin, Assistant to President as the representative of RUTS join the closing ceremony which was welcome by Mr.Azril Ali Deputy Dean (Academic, Career & International) and staff, to congratulates all participants as well as having chances to discuss for the possibility of the joint degree in the future.
