On March 28,2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, led by Prof.Dr.Suwat Tanyaros, the university’s president, along with university executives, warmly welcomed special delegations who served as witnesses including H.E. Mr. Shi Yugang, from the Yunnan Provincial Committees, Mr. Wang Zhijian, the Consulate-General of the PR China in Songkhla, Ms. Li Ruilin, President of Kunming Railway Vocational and Technical College, and Mr. Chotnarin Kertsom, the Governor of Songkhla. On the occasion of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya hosted an extension signing ceremony for Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) and Kunming Railway Vocational and Technical College (KRVTC) of the People’s Republic of China.
Mr. Chotnarin Kertsom, the Governor of Songkhla stated that on behalf of the Songkhla Province, was honored and pleased that this cooperation between RUTS and KRVTC represents a significant step forward in strengthening and enhancing not only the educational ties on the joint advancement of human resources, but also leads to global community as improving transportation and logistics and promoting tourism between the two countries.
The ceremony took place in the morning at the Samila Meeting Room, 3rd floor, Administration Building, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya.
For the afternoon session after the extension of the MoU between RUTS and KRVTC representatives from both institution led by Prof.Dr.Suwat Tanyaros, RUTS president, Dr Lamun Kayurin, Asistant to President (International Affairs) including representatives from Railway Engineering from Faculty of Engineering led by Dean, Assoc.Prof. Surasit Rawangwong and 6 representatives and Ms. Li Ruilin KRVTC president and 4 representatives discussed further on the possibility of sending students and staff for mobility program as well as on Railway Engineering Students for Training at KRVTC in November-December 2025 at Chalatat Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya.
