Rajamangala Srivijaya Research and Training Center, Chumporn
Rajamangala Srivijaya Research and Training Center, Chumporn has established with the aim to help the victims of “Typhoon Gay” which hit the Thai gulf on November, 4 1989 causing loss of life and property. Rajamangala Technology Institution or Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (at present) responded to the disaster by forming the Flowers and Fruits Reproduction Center to assist the victims.
The station has built in an area of 218 rai located at 168 M. 5, Thale Sap, Pathio, Chumporn. In the past, it was subjected to the Special Task Division and later in 1996 it changed its name to the Student Research and Training Center, Chumporn.
In 2005, it was included in the Rajamangala University Act and the name was changed again to Srivijaya Research and Training Station, Chumporn. The major roles are to focus on education and research to serve and support the university’s missions. This center is now under the supervision of the Faculty of Agriculture, Nakorn Si Thammarat
